Most of these images are from the upstate of South Carolina area, where I live, Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. This encompasses such beautiful places as the Great Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahalla National Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Grandfather Mountain, Shining Rock Wilderness and many more areas of natures best.

There is a very active community of nature photographers in this area. The Carolinas Nature Photographers Association has chapters spread throughout North and South Carolina. They have monthly meetings as well as regular field trips.
